Codename Alpha - His Story
A father has been separated from his children for over five months — not because he walked away, but because the system failed him.
Codename Alpha is a devoted father of two young children (aged 5–10) who is now fighting to be reunited with them after a series of deeply flawed decisions and process failures within the family court system.
This is a father who didn’t step back — he stepped up.
He took on full-time care of his children when they needed him most.
His son had become fearful of returning to his mother’s care, expressing distress about being yelled at and physically disciplined. Months later, concerns also arose for his daughter’s wellbeing, and she too turned to her father for safety and stability.
He didn’t ignore it. He didn’t hand it off.
He took responsibility for both children.
He homeschooled his special needs child to ensure the right support.
He provided stability.
He showed up — consistently.
Then everything changed.
Despite this history, a senior judicial registrar issued orders that removed the children from his care — accepting a narrative that painted this father as “withholding” and “weaponising” his own children.
That narrative does not reflect the reality of a father who had been their primary carer.
Since those orders were made, he has not seen his children in over five months.
At the same time, he is battling a serious health condition, including a tumour and associated disability.
He has been trying to navigate complex legal proceedings while unwell, under financial pressure, and without the resources needed to properly defend himself.
To make matters worse, there are serious concerns about the accuracy and fairness of key information relied upon in the process, including police reporting that appears incomplete and biased.
This is what happens when process breaks down — and a parent without resources is left to fight alone.
Why This Matters
This is not just one father’s story.
This is about what happens when:
A committed parent is mischaracterised
Children’s voices are not properly heard
Process and procedure override real-world caregiving
And the ability to fund legal representation determines outcomes
